Welcome to the TEACH California Web Site!

TEACH California provides you with the information you need in order to become a credentialed teacher in California. The sections within the Web site have been organized to answer your questions regarding the requirements for becoming a teacher, finding the right teacher preparation program, locating financial aid, checking out schools and school districts, and finding a job. In order to give you a sense of teachers’ lives, we have included video interviews of teachers who work in different settings and samples of lesson plans. There is also a section in which different scenarios are described and you are asked, “What would you do in this situation?” You can then compare your answers to those provided by teachers!

California continues to face a teacher shortage, and special education teachers, science teachers, and math teachers are in most demand. We hope the TEACH California Web site can help fill that need by providing you with answers to your critical questions.
